OpenAI announced Codex Labs and partnerships with global systems integrators to expand its coding agent into enterprise engineering organizations. The company said weekly Codex usage had surpassed four million developers in early April.
The story was distribution as much as model capability. Enterprise adoption depends on implementation partners, security reviews, workflow design and change management. By naming those channels explicitly, OpenAI positioned Codex as a deployment program rather than only a developer product.
